Arkney is the name for a collection of five quarantined regions within Jefferson County, Maine. Left to fester after dimensional rifts started appearing in the area, it has garnered a reputation for rapidly becoming more and more dangerous, while more and more people from other realities wind up there for unknown reasons. Nobody is ever allowed in or out. At least, not in the traditional way.
Arkney is also the name for a text-based MMORPG, the first of which to take place entirely within a single Discord server, pushing the platform to its limits. The game is entirely free (with zero pay-to-win features), and all you need to join and play is a Discord account!
